We must remember George Floyd – along with the way-too-long list of African American martyrs who have been slain out of fear, arrogance, entitlement, self-loathing, privilege, lack of presence, & preservation of the status quo.
We know that at your core, you are pure, perfect, whole, and enlightened. But most likely, many of the decisions you’ve made came from scenarios in which you were forced to make a choice that ultimately was not in your best interest or not of your own design, and it did not support your divine purpose.
Timeless wisdom teaches that the source of all kindness is self-kindness; the source of all compassion is self-compassion; the source of all forgiveness is self-forgiveness; and the source of all love is self-love.
Sometimes it’s a little voice in our head telling us we can’t do it, a person in our life shaking their head or smirking, or simply daunting circumstances. But don’t give up. Instead simply reach for an archetype.
After a few weeks of practicing this teaching, the metta meditation will become the gentle way you start your day. You’ll quickly notice that your heart is more open, you are more tolerant of irritations around you, and you have a ripple of a smile flowing through every word, thought, and action. You’ll also realize that it is a pure present-moment experience to help you connect to your essence.
As the swirl of life sweeps through you each day, allow these three powerful stanzas to become an ongoing contemplation. Gently rippling them through your thoughts will help you gain clarity, cultivate patience, and trust in the moment.
But there is another side to the story… integrating the magnificent gifts you’ve received from what you’ve lost – the sweet memories, the joys of your past, the special moments – and that magnificence is something to celebrate.
Extraordinary people use failure as a catalyst to grow, and if you’re not failing sometimes, you might not be pushing yourself to become your best version. So this week, reflect on a recent failure… it can be giant or small… but none is insignificant!!!
When we introduce a pattern interrupt into our flow of thoughts, we can gently step aside from the uneasy memories of the past or the anxious thoughts of the future – and truly ground ourselves back into the present moment – our bodymind moves beyond all that irritation, anger, discomfort, anxiety, less-than, or “it’s not fair” thinking.
This conscious choice-making process can be activated in any moment – and is ALWAYS worth taking the time to first slow down and pattern interrupt from your relentless swirl of thoughts, mental activities, chatter, and confusion.
When you awaken the Sacred Power of Acceptance, you finally recognize that wherever you are, every moment of the past is carved in stone and for you to evolve your life, improve your situation, or find deeper fulfillment you must own the present moment.
The Divine Principle of Awareness is the evolutionary starting point for transforming the world around you as you transform yourself! It’s the cornerstone for every step you take to move your life from where it is to where you’d like to be.
Many of Osho’s teachings irritated people, and many others found them irreverent. But at the end of the day, his purpose was to challenge us to reach deep within our souls and find our own constrictions.
If our fire is burning brightly, we trust, we listen, we stay fully present, and we risk being vulnerable. And, ideally, once we have absorbed all that we believe will nourish us, we release, sidestep, or let go of anything that will not serve us.
Welcome to a brand new week! It’s easy to get confused over setting an intention. Should it be big? Or small? Attainable? Or beyond reach? Should it be about me or another person?
