Hello Spiritual Warrior, this simple lesson will share how to deal with suffering in your life. It is easier than you think.
In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali teaches one way of how to deal with suffering in your life: “The goal of Yoga is not to obtain something that is lacking: it is the realization of an already present reality. Yoga practice removes the obstacles that obstruct the experience of Samadhi, or the state of complete absorption.”
Yoga is one of the ancient paths to reducing and even ending suffering in your life.
As humans, we all struggle, we all experience pain, and we certainly all suffer. Whether it is physical, emotional, mental, financial, or within relationships, we are all bound to suffer at some point in our lives. And that’s completely natural, but knowing how to deal with suffering in your life makes the difference between a life of misery and one of contentment.
A daily meditation practice is the best defense to helping you navigate though the suffering and pain that can come up in life. I also recommend integrating a mantra (you can learn more about that in the video lesson above) to help reduce suffering during meditation or anytime of the day. You can repeat this ancient affirmation to create a little more ease in times of need.
So this month (or week) commit to meditating at least once in the morning and once in the afternoon – you determine what style of meditation and the length of your practice. But by simply committing to connecting to the stillness and silence within, you WILL SUFFER LESS this week.
