Hello, Spiritual Warrior!
I’d like to offer you a simple – yet deeply powerful – practice today. It’s one that holds the potential to gently and profoundly reshape your life.
In the ancient wisdom traditions, the goddess Tara is known as a compassionate protector. She’s the one who guides us through fear, dissolves suffering, and supports healing, abundance, and long life.
Green Tara, in particular, embodies the awakened heart. She is the essence of compassion in motion – swift, responsive, and ever-present.
The color green reflects the heart chakra: the energy of love, connection, renewal, and the natural flow of life itself – like wind moving through the trees, like breath moving through your body.
It is said that when we call upon Tara, her blessings arrive with the swiftness of the wind.
And through the sacred repetition of her mantra, we don’t simply ask for compassion. Instead, we awaken it within ourselves.
We begin to align with the very heartbeat of the universe.
The green tara mantra for compassion is Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha:
- Om = the sacred vibration of Tara’s enlightened body, speech, and mind
- Tare = liberation from suffering
- Tuttare = freedom from the eight great fears: ignorance, pride, anger, jealousy, wrong views, greed, attachment, and doubt
- Ture = release from the illusion of separation
- Soha (Svaha) = may this truth take root within me; may it be embodied and lived
As you chant this mantra, allow it to move through you – not just as sound, but as energy.
Allow it to soften your heart, steady your breath, and let it remind you that compassion is not something that is outside of you. Instead, it is something within that you are here to remember.
I’d love to hear from you – feel free to email me at info@davidji.com and let me know how you enjoyed this practice!
