Hello, Spiritual Warrior!
Years ago on a trip to Tulum, I was fortunate enough to capture this moment of awe and wonder – baby sea turtles hatching and making their way to the ocean!
I wanted to share it with you today because even though the video feels old, the meaning behind it will always be timeless.
There are two things that show up for me when I watch this video and remember this moment:
- The Power of Presence
- The Power of our Purpose
It’s impossible to not be in awe when a moment like this occurs. These baby sea turtles, all hatching at once, brand new and yet all of them are fully alive, fully engaging with the earth. Within minutes they go from hatching to swimming, and each moment on that journey matters.
To witness it feels even more powerful than it may feel for them actually being in it. Our minds shut off from thinking about anything, to simply witnessing “being”. It’s so powerful, and so beautiful. It’s an opportunity to simply bask in the present moment and, in the words of Ram Dass, just Be.Here.Now.
I hope that you can feel this through the video as strongly as I felt it when I was there.
On another note, when this magnificent act of nature happens, we watch these baby turtles, driven by sheer instinct and a knowing of exactly where they need to go and exactly what they need to do.
Imagine if us humans could live that way! To simply go forward on our path, with our purpose.
We so often get in our own ways, and yet, we CAN make the choice to simply act. To take our purpose from thought to manifestation in whatever way we are here to express it.
We can decide to release the resistance. We can choose to let go of other people’s opinions. We can move confidently in the direction of our dreams and keep blinders on to any obstacles in our path. We can let go of the “woulda coulda shoulda’s” and just take the first step forward.
Let these baby sea turtles be your inspiration today! 🐢🌊 If they can find the bravery to go headfirst into the power of the ocean – knowing they will get tossed around, knowing that they will need to find their way on their own terms – SO CAN YOU.
