Loss of a Loved One: 10-Minute Guided Meditation

Hello, Spiritual Warrior,

Today, I invite you to quiet the world, and let yourself be held in the sacred space of the present moment. For this meditation, we will be turning our attention to connecting with feelings of grief, loss and love. 

It’s been said that grief is love with no place to go … but today, I invite us to allow ourselves to feel it.

Grief is not a problem to solve, it’s a sacred companion that we walk through life with. Grief is like an ocean wave moving through – sometimes it crashes, and sometimes it softens and retreats. 

During this 10-minute meditation, I invite you to feel into it all. Allow yourself to connect with someone – or something – that you have lost. Allow yourself to feel it and let it wash through.

Some of the mantras I offer in this meditation that you may wish to take with you off of the meditation cushion:

I allow my grief to be here. 

I honor this pain as sacred. 

I do not walk alone. 

I carry your love within me. 

I feel your presence in every breath. 

I honor your life.

I carry your memory.

I choose to live, not in spite of you, but in celebration of you.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed. 

You can carry the energy of your loved one with you wherever you go, and access it at any time that you wish. 

Love is eternal, and there is a light that can never be extinguished.

Go gently with yourself as you move through your grief. 

And always remember that you are never alone.
