“The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.” – Bob Marley
Greetings spiritual warriors! And welcome to another week of Life Tools.
This week we’re exploring the timeless concept of abundance consciousness – and introducing the ancient mantra aham brahmasmi into your awareness.
There are five realms of existence – the physical, emotional, material, relationship, and spiritual.
In each of them, we find ourselves meeting obstacles. But this week we will focus on the material realm – how we see the realm of money, positions, and possessions – the stuff in our life.
Sometimes they are speed bumps, other times roadblocks, often times tall walls, and occasionally a slammed shut door. What we do with this information becomes the fabric of our life. We can use each obstacle in our life – regardless of how devastating — as an opportunity to grow, evolve, and start anew, or we can use the smallest excuse as our reason why we can’t self-actualize.
Do you see building blocks or stumbling blocks? You get to choose. And here is a powerful tool to help you shift your mindset and awaken more abundance into your life. It’s called the aham brahmasmi subtle intention.
It all starts with introducing the pattern interrupt aham brahmasmi – an ancient Sanskrit phrase from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishads into your awareness. As you wake up – open your eyes and say out loud aham brahmasmi – I am the Universe. Then repeat it out loud, when you are:
- Sitting down to meditate
- Brushing your teeth
- In the shower
- Toweling your self off
- Putting on make-up or shaving
- Getting dressed
- Making your breakfast
- Feeding your pet
- Walking the dog
- Dressing your kids
- Feeding your family, and
- Heading out the door for the day
That’s at least 12 times before you even engage with the world outside of your house.
Then throughout the day, when you find yourself in a constricted state over money or stuff – making a “poor me” excuse, telling someone why you can’t do something that costs money, or why you can’t have something that will really nourish you because it’s too expensive, or feeling sorry for yourself:
– STOP
– CLOSE YOUR EYES
– OUT LOUD SAY “AHAM BRAHMASMI – I AM THE UNIVERSE”
– PLACE YOUR HAND ON YOUR HEART
And then bring your attention to your heart – your most genuine self – which is pure, and whole, infinite & abundant. And realize you are a conduit to receive the divine gifts of the universe. You are limitless. Ever capable. Eternally worthy.
Do this every day and within a week – abundance will flow…aham brahmasmi will become a part of your internal dialog. And on the 8th day, you will flow abundance through your words, thoughts, and deeds.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat!!!!!
Email me with your stories of abundance. I would love to hear from you. Remember to keep meditating and I’ll see you in the gap! peace. -davidji
