A Message on Kindness

Dear Spiritual Warrior,

Self-kindness isn’t a luxury. It’s a spiritual practice.

In the ancient teachings of yoga, ahimsa – non-violence – is the first doorway into a more conscious life.

We often think of it as not harming others, but the deeper journey begins with how gently we treat ourselves.

Every time you become more gentle with your inner dialogue, release perfection, and choose compassion over criticism, you are practicing Ahimsa. Self-kindness is the highest form of non-violence.

Ahimsa invites you to recognize the subtle ways you may cause yourself harm:

💫 Ignoring your needs

💫 Pushing past your limits

💫 Comparing your path to someone else’s

💫 Speaking to yourself with harshness or criticism

💫 Expecting yourself to heal faster, grow faster, “be better” faster

But your soul’s journey was never meant to be rushed. You were never meant to judge yourself.

When you were born, you didn’t have an instinct to criticize yourself – that is something that was learned.

So today, I invite you to let ahimsa be your guide – and treat yourself with the same kindness that you would offer a beloved friend.

You can start by bringing a hand to your heart, closing your eyes, and saying “I Love You.”
