We have all tried a remedy that made our eyes water or forced us to hold our nose. But did you try it again to get the long-term benefit? Probably not…

In my practice I strive to bridge the gap by formulating effective products that smell and taste great!

My husband is a little picky and wouldn’t use the mouthwashes I prepared from recommended recipes. So, through trial & error, I came up with this husband approved mouthwash that I am sharing with you!

I strayed a little bit from plants native to India but I really wanted a great tasting, easy to make mouthwash, that works!

Husband Approved Mouthwash

1½ cups distilled water

1 Tbsp Baking Soda

1 Tbsp Witch Hazel

40 drops Peppermint or Mint Essential Oil

Stir ingredients and store in a glass container.

This recipe freshens breath, soothes gums, and gives your mouth a clean feeling with a fresh, minty taste.

Baking Soda – It’s antibacterial properties make it very effective in oral healthcare products. The study done by D. Drake, “Antibacterial activity of baking soda”, found that it could result in lower levels of the bacteria in plaque and saliva responsible for dental decay.

Witch Hazel – A plant native to North America with strong astringent and antioxidant properties for reducing bacteria and speeding the healing process.

Peppermint Essential Oil – Is superior in inhibiting the cause of bad breath. Has expectorant and decongestant properties which help open sinuses. It is even said that the invigorating, refreshing, and cooling aroma can boost our mental powers.  Note – Floracopeia makes the finest, most aromatic essential oils for Aromatherapy.

This homemade Husband Approved Mouthwash is easy to make and inexpensive. It doesn’t have chemicals or alcohol and is natural with no side effects.
