Happy weekend, Spiritual Warrior!!! This week’s meditation is a special sneak peak into my new guided meditation album “Healing Your Soul.” It releases on May 1 on iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Play, and other major online music marketplaces.

We are the masters of each moment. We can shift the direction of energy moving through us, release our grip of attachment. We can reach for new expressions to hold onto, and we can open our hearts to soothing and let go of darkness. We have the power to heal and to repair.

Surrender to the power of our own healing: the power of the word, the power of our thoughts, of the meaning we’ve given to things, the power they have over us and the power we have over them.

If we can connect and know at our core level that we are indeed worthy, and brilliant, and intuitive, and deserving of love & happiness, then we can connect to the part of us that can soothe, nourish, and heal our wounds – our emotional ones and then our physical ones. There is a beautiful phrase in Sanskrit – yata pinde tat brahmande – which essentially means, “as is the cosmic body, so is the personal body; as is the cosmic mind, so is the personal mind.”

“Soul Connection” is the final track of Healing Your Soul and the culmination of a journey to becoming happier, stepping into your power and taking the reins so you can be the writer, the main character, and the director of your life.

Welcome to another edition of The Source!

During my walk on he beach this morning, the ocean was a magnificent dichotomy of turbulence and stillness. A perfect metaphor for how our minds work, and how a daily meditation practice affects them.

If you haven’t yet dove into beginning a daily meditation practice, or if you’re a crisis meditator like millions of others, now’s the time to commit!!! Join my movement — the 30-minute Commitment with davidji, and lock in a daily meditation practice. Thousands of people have already joined, and they’re posting their commitments to take their lives to the next level.

You can join the 30-minute Commitment Facebook Community by clicking here.

It doesn’t have to painful… get back to basics. The simple, yet powerful, technique I have taught people for more than a decade is RPM. Rise. Pee. Meditate.

It sounds simple. Yet that simple ritual has allowed me and of thousands of meditators to never miss a morning meditation. EVER!

Here’s how it works. Each of us begins our day looking at the clock. Then we flow into 8 to 15 morning ablution rituals – and we do them all in the same order…the same way…every day. We pee, poop, shower, brush our teeth, cook food, make a liquid, watch TV, read a newspaper, check emails, visit our favorite online site, walk the dog, prepare our children for the day, have sex, do our hair, put on makeup, and get dressed. Our Monday through Friday ritual usually differs from our weekend ritual. But simply having the awareness of the flow of our morning ablution ritual will jumpstart this process.

So close your eyes right now and walk yourself through your typical morning ritual and become aware of how your day flows. Pretty cool right?

Now if you can push RPM to the very front of your morning ritual train, within 15 minutes of you opening your eyes, you will have a solid half hour of stillness and silence that will greet every moment throughout your day. You can make this even easier by using “beditation”. You can crawl back into bed and meditate there. You do not have to have a rigid spine or hand mudras to start your meditation practice. Comfort is queen for beginners, and what is more comfortable than a warm bed? It is a great way to lock down a morning practice. Then another 15 minutes of stillness and silence in the afternoon will give you a boost of clarity and rejuvenation to finish your day strong!!!

Happy weekend, Spiritual Warrior! We’re doing some serious heart searching this week, elevating our life, stepping into our power, and owning our impact more than ever!!!

I just launched the new 30-Minute Commitment, and I invite you to join me and hundreds of like-minded individuals (and growing!) who are ready to take their lives to the next level.

Join me in dedicating just 30 minutes each day until the end of the year to cultivating something that will elevate your life and those around you.

People from all over the world have been emailing me about new commitments to their meditation practice, learning a new language, writing letters to friends or family they’ve lost touch with, walking their dog for just a bit longer, spending more time with their children playing games, cultivating generosity, learning a new instrument, and becoming more fit & healthy.

There are infinite possibilities!!!

Sometimes we just need a gentle nudge. So I’ve set up a community Facebook page to connect those who join this movement so we can offer support, cheer each other on, and even become inspired by others’ commitments!!!

Visit the page, make your commitment, and as you go share your experiences, photos, and videos of your journey on the page — and support others in their journey. You can find the page on Facebook at @davidji30 or you can click this link. Don’t forget to like the page!!!

Enjoy this weekend’s meditation! peace. -davidji

Instant Karma’s gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon you’re gonna be dead
What in the world you thinking of
Laughing in the face of love
What on earth you tryin’ to do
It’s up to you, yeah you…

–John Lennon from his song “Instant Karma (We All Shine On)”

Welcome, Spiritual Warrior, to another edition of The Source in which we explore the concept of karma.

Karma can be translated as action and is the culmination of all the actions, or choices) we have taken through out our lives: the ones we celebrate, the ones we regret, the conditional and unconditional ones, the knee-jerk ones and the purposeful ones.

Whether you believe in re-incarnation or not, doesn’t make karma real or not real – karma just is. And since we are living in this life right now, focusing on karma for a week will allow us to see all the actions we are taking right now – all the choices we make in each moment. Simply by placing our witnessing awareness on every interaction, email, text, phone call, and conversation… even the behaviors we exhibit to ourselves when we are alone… allows us to view the consequences of our actions. It is in the reflecting on the many plates we are spinning… the juggling… on the decisions we make every day.

Remember: [tweet_dis]We are never damned by the choices we’ve made IF we are willing to honestly own them[/tweet_dis], take responsibility for our thoughts, our words, and our actions, and commit to make better ones.

Don Miguel Ruiz teaches the agreement to ALWAYS DO OUR BEST. So this week, let’s commit to this powerful agreement with ourselves, and there will be fewer opportunities to regret our choices and more opportunities to make evolutionary ones.

Keep meditating!!! And I’ll see you in the GAP!!!

Peace. -davidji

Mantra: Ahimsa satya

Happy weekend, Spiritual Warrior!!! Join me in discovering the five yamasahimsa (non-violence), satya (not lying), asteya (not stealing), brahmacharya (sexual impeccability), and aparigraha (not coveting).

The most well known teaching of yoga is asana (the postures) because we all physically practice them in yoga class. But there are actually 8 limbs of the yogic teachings, and this weekend let’s explore the first two limbs of yoga—the yamas and niyamas—described by the sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. The yamas are the universal codes of ethical behavior and niyamas are the personal observances—essentially guidance for how enlightened beings can best interact with the world, our friends, our families, and our selves. These ten practices and their translations can become intuitive and awakened within us when we place our attention on them, live them, and practice them.

Mantra: Yogastha kuru karmani

Do you have the patience to wait until your mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving until the right action arises by itself? The answers to these questions are powerful lessons in understanding the power of the present moment. But how do we live our lives in bliss with all the issues of money, health, relationships, love, fear, success, happiness, karma, dharma, and our ego swirling through our head and impacting our emotions, our conversations, and our actions?

We meditate. We connect to the stillness and silence that rests within. We become one with the Universe. This weekend, let’s practice a little more patience; a little less need to control everything in our lives; and more fully trust in the power of the Divine – that it will deliver us exactly where we need to be.
