Hello spiritual warriors!! Let’s get ready to let go of limiting beliefs and poverty consciousness, and bring more abundance into our lives.

When we plant seeds that come from a poverty consciousness, a lack mentality, or a constricted viewpoint then our whole physiology and emotional energy reflects our limiting beliefs.

[Tweet “the things in your life that limit you are all self-imposed, all self-created, all self-directed. davidji.com”]

It’s easier to see it in others than in ourselves. Sometimes we are too close to the situation or caught up in years of conditioning and we don’t realize WE are the constriction. When our attention is on the “what ifs” of life rather than the bigger picture, our thinking becomes petty; our view becomes narrowed; and we start to “play small.”

Let’s take a few moments to begin the process of welcoming abundance. Start by witnessing your breath. Feel it flow into your nostrils… move into your throat… and then as your lungs fill with air.

Hold this breath in for a few moments and then let go.

Now, as you slowly inhale again, think of all the things in your life that limit you (you may think it’s a person but rather than making it a person’s name, think of it as your current relationship with that person or something one of you is holding onto).

And, it’s important to remember that the things in your life that limit you are all self-imposed, all self-created, all self-directed.

We can choose where we place our attention in our world – people, jobs, conversations, money, relatives, relationships — these are all forms of energy. We move our energy, our attention, our awareness to these things and they blossom and bloom – they get larger, consuming, and omnipresent until they weave themselves into every fiber of your being.

When you don’t open yourself to more possibilities in every moment, there is a constriction, fear, lack, thoughts of not enough. Not seeing all that life has to offer in each moment narrows our view until we can only see what we already know – we need to move beyond our blind spots into expanded awareness.

If we look to our most genuine Self – the self that rests beneath all of this, we know that we are pure and perfect and whole and full – yes…we are abundant. So where does the confusion come in? Why do we sometimes feel a lack inside when we are actually so full at our core? Why would we feel we are less than, when we have so much to be grateful for?

Right now think of just three things you are grateful for. It can be as innocent as a relationship, a smile, a health-related issue, something that occurred that you requested, something that happened and took you by surprise, a conversation, a hug, the result of your hard work, or the result of you surrendering…

Email me at info@davidji.com … right now!… those three things you are grateful for. Begin the process of owning your impact on yourself. I can’t wait to read your thoughts of gratitude.

Mantra: Moksha

This week, I’ve been in Chicago working with the Blue Courage team for three days of BCAT (Blue Courage Awareness Training! I have so much gratitude for the thousands of magnificent cops who’ve re-connected to their dharma of service, nobility, honor, & guardianship!!! Spending the week with men & women in blue from Washington, Idaho, Missouri, California, Texas, DC, Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, Virginia – all living from the heart, with the sole mission in life to raise the vibration & help others be their best version, really encourages reflection of our own lives & how we impact the world.

So, I’ve resurrected a poignant guided meditation from the archives to encourage reflection this week. I encourage you to let any date references in the meditation drift out of your attention, and instead focus on the message.

Reflection is a powerful tool, especially when either the past or the future is overwhelming us. Reflection allows us to see where we’ve come from, and if we can look at our lives and see the choices we’ve made, the experiences that have shaped us, the people who have influenced us — they have all led us to this sacred moment. Reflection allows us to examine our most inner selves, and reflection through meditation allows us to dive even deeper into who we really are and who we really want to be. Remember that reflection isn’t about passing judgement, it’s about making more conscious choices right now and in the future.

Dive deep with me into the 5 Realms this November!

Reflection is a primary topic of my upcoming retreat in November. We will spend 7 days together, fully immersed in exploring the Five Realms of our lives and deeply reflecting on our past, our choices, and the people in our lives — all of these elements have molded us into the people we are today. This retreat is all-inclusive (except for travel), and we will dwell in private beach casitas, attend daily transformational sessions, practice daily meditation & yoga, and participate in exclusive group activities and powerful personal transformation. In this one-of-a-kind experience you will:

  • Finally, learn to connect to the stillness & silence that rests within
  • Explore the ruins & walk in the footsteps of the ancient Mayans
  • Discover Ayurveda – the 5000-year-old healing system & learn the key to your balance
  • Swim in the warm, azure waters on the Mexican Riviera
  • Release emotional toxicity in a gentle, safe environment
  • Journey through the Five Realms of your life & learn to manifest your dreams
  • Luxuriate in ancient Mayan massage therapies
  • Meditate, practice yoga, walk the labyrinth, & dine on local fresh, nourishing meals

Welcome to this week’s edition of The Source!

Do remember the last meal you had? When our physical AGNI is burning brightly, then our body digests and metabolizes the food  then absorbs all the nutrients. If everything is working correctly, once we’ve absorbed all the nourishing elements of the meal, we let go of and release what no longer serves us. What’s left over from this meal is the most concentrated form of nourishment – and we call this divine essence Ojas.

[Tweet “in every moment, we truly have a choice of how we want to show up davidji.com”]

Similar to the concept of bees making honey – it can take 20,000 bees per hive to harvest the nectar of a few thousand flowers and distill them into honey. This is a subtle process and we are talking about distilling large items into their most divine essence. If our physical AGNI is not burning brightly, but rather sputtering, like wet leaves on a bonfire, then what’s left behind is not Ojas, but Ama or toxic residue.

The same is true for our emotional AGNI. Think of the last interaction you had with someone – a conversation, an exchange of energy, or a transaction. If your emotional AGNI is burning brightly, then we pay attention to the other person’s words and emotions, we communicate consciously, listen attentively, don’t interrupt, and show up fully present. We maintain eye contact, absorb the sentiment compassionately; don’t think about our next words, patiently let the person finish their sentences, show up defenselessly, don’t check our device, stay established in a heart connection and intellectually distill the big and little pictures.

Then, once all the information has been ingested, absorbed and digested – ideally – IF our emotional AGNI is burning brightly, we close the loop and let go of what emotionally no longer serves us. What’s left behind is emotional Ojas – sweet vital emotional nectar.

If we are hurried, impatient, waiting for someone to stop talking, speaking harshly, not fully present, constantly checking our device, fidgeting, avoiding eye-contact, or disconnected from the other person’s emotions… then, most likely… the result will be Ama – toxic residue – the opposite of Ojas.

Whether or not we leave behind Ojas or Ama is a choice. And in every moment, we truly have a choice of how we want to show up. This week, I encourage you AFTER THE FACT… to ask yourself “What did I just leave behind?” If you’ve left behind Ojas… party on!!!!! Good job!!!! Reinforce it and celebrate!

But, if you’ve left behind Ama, this is the chance to go back; and shift the trajectory… apologize… reconnect… call a time out…. make a better choice… forgive yourself… and commit to Ojas over Ama. Remember… We transform the world by transforming ourselves!! So this week, let’s commit to OJAS!!! Being bold!!! And stepping into our power. Aham brahmasmi baby!!! I am the universe.

Peace. -davidji

You are a conduit of healing energy of love. I can’t think of anything our world needs … right now, in this exact moment … more than healing and love. This week, let’s turn our attention and intention to healing ourselves, sending healing energy to our family, for our friends, even for those who we might not like so much, and for those who are suffering or struggling.

destressify GM package vol 1Special Gift for You!

Register for Masters of Wisdom & Meditation Teacher Training this week and I’ll gift you my “destressify Meditation Series” Vol. 1 & 2!! Each volume features three simple daily meditations you can use to quickly get back onto the path of destressifying.

I think you’ll especially enjoy the track “Touchbreath.” If you find yourself in the throes of chronic stress, where you are living in a state of emotional fight or flight, then most likely your breathing is probably pretty shallow or erratic and your sympathetic nervous system is calling the shots.

destressify GM package vol 2Making a conscious decision every hour throughout the day to take a few deep, relaxing breaths in through your nose—and long, sighing exhales out through your mouth—to activate your parasympathetic nervous system will offset the initial surge of the sympathetic nervous system and the subsequent constricting physical effects.

Welcome to another edition of The Source!

Everything in life is energy… divine energy. We refer to this life force in Sanskrit as prana. Take a deep breath in – that’s prana surging through you. Gaze at something – that’s prana coming into your eyes and being translated into a visual. Close your eyes and listen… whatever you hear is the sound of energy vibrating your eardrums and then being interpreted by your brain into a sound. Everything is energy!!

All the energy on the planet already exists. It can be transformed, transmuted, or morphed into another form of energy; but energy cannot be created nor can it be destroyed.

Let that settle in for a moment… Energy cannot be created nor can it be destroyed. It is the life force that exists in every moment flowing… circulating…evolving… transforming… into some other form of energy.

As you think, the electrical energy in your brain is moving around just like the energy in your computer, your device, or your phone. There is no airplane mode for your brain – although we can get pretty close when we meditate or connect to the present moment.

The food we eat, which contains stored energy translates into our body as calories which then becomes part of our body’s stored energy, and then translates into activity (kinetic energy) or becomes part of our physiology – fat, muscle, tissues, blood vessels, lung expansions and contractions, cellular development, and heart beats.

Check out my tonglen meditation video here.

As we move our body that creates an energetic ripple of its own. When we speak, our thoughts are translated into vocal electrical energy which then moves through the air and lands on someone else’s ears creating an energetic ripple through them.

When our words are tender, gentle, and loving – then nourishing energy is the end result. When our words are harsh, mean-spirited, or malicious – then non-nourishing energy is transmitted and received.

We have the ability to circulate whatever energy we desire – and when we are calm, relaxed, aware, and unconditioned – then that is our energetic expression. Meditation, conscious communication, forgiveness, (self) compassion, and empathy are important tools to help us flow the best energy that comes into us. Let’s make the commitment this week to be a conduit of love and transform whatever energy we receive into loving energy. Remember the power of your ripple. In the meantime, I’ll see you in the gap! Aham brahmasmi baby! Peace. -davidji

Upcoming davidji Meditation Retreats

Hello, Spiritual Warriors! Welcome to another edition of The Source.

I love this classic quote from Dr. Seuss:

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

It’s such an impactful idea delivered in a lighthearted way that really illustrates how knowledge is power … and as long as we keep pushing ourselves to learn as we move through life, we will be full of purpose and living our dharma.

[Tweet “Ask yourself at the end of the day “What did I love to do so much that time stood still?” davidji.com”]

My dear friend & mentor Dr. David Simon taught me another meaning of the word dharma — “essence.” Your essence is the heart of your existence. Your dharma is the essence of you who are. From your essence arise your intentions. Your intentions drive your thoughts. Your thoughts give rise to your words. Your words are translated into actions — your actions into habits of behavior. Your habits of behavior manifest as your contribution to the world. This is your dharma.

Many of you may not consider yourself a teacher. But why not?? You have such special insights, so many gifts to offer! It is my dharma to help you become a teacher. My intention is to flow through a process that is profound, eye-opening, inspirational, and heart-opening — to deeply imbue you with these teachings; help you cultivate a powerful daily practice; and instill you with the confidence to comfortably share these teachings with others.

This is why I created my 16-week intensive meditation teacher training. I have certified more than 100 Masters of Wisdom & Meditation Teachers in just a few years. Many are teaching formally and building their business, others are simply sharing the wisdom and teachings they’ve learned with friends and family, but all have transformed their lives by discovering their own purpose in life.

We just opened registration for my winter session that begins online November 20. You can learn more about it here.

If you are looking to take your meditation practice to the next level, or share the passion that burns inside you, consider becoming a Masters of Wisdom & Meditation Teacher — I will walk this sacred journey with you, guiding you and supporting you well beyond your graduation.

To help you open your heart & get closer to your dharma with greater grace and greater ease. Here is an easy 4-step process to help you deepen your connection to your own essence and purpose:

  1. Meditate every morning & ask the sacred questions: what am I grateful for? Who am I grateful for?
  2. Ask a close friend or relative, “What do you think is my best quality?”
  3. Ask yourself at the end of the day “What did I love to do so much that time stood still?”
  4. As your head hits the pillow at night, ask yourself, “ How can I help others, heal others, serve others using my best qualities?”

Living our dharma is all about translating our best intentions into meaningful choices. If the passion is burning inside you, take the next step to flow your essence into the world. Everyone around you will be richer for your contribution.

Peace. -davidji

Mantra: Om Ram Ritam

This weekend let’s focus on the manifestation process so we can watch all of our seeds burst through the soil and begin their process of reaching for the sky. You have your dreams and visions – you’ve set your intentions…and now it’s time for reflection and asking the core question:

“What will it take? What trait – what skill set – what divine quality will I need to awaken to shift me from where I am to where I want to be?”

This requires honesty and your willingness to shine a bright light on all the shadowy areas of your life. Through honest reflection, we are able to see what we need and don’t have right now. This is where you get to awaken the sleeping god or goddess that rests within. This is where you get to invoke your divine archetype to help you:

Break out of being stuck,
Find your next gear, and
TAKE the step!

Aham brahmasmi, baby! See you in the gap.

Peace. -d
