“Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.” –Albert Einstein

Hello Spiritual Warriors!! And welcome to another week of life tools. There’s a concept of free will, are we making conscious choices, or do we just float from one moment to the next randomly responding to the random realms of the world? But I found that we can actually move our world in very specific directions simply by placing our attention and our intention in a particular realm and just keep moving in that direction. So, for example, is there one thing going on in your life right now that doesn’t really vibrate or resonate with you? Perhaps you’re finding yourself feeling uncomfortable interacting with a certain person or the style of interaction or the frequency of interaction or you keep doing a particular behavior or ritual that you don’t really find nourishing but keep going there?

InnerHealing_Display-(2)We can create the pattern interrupts in our life that stops a non-nourishing behavior or practice, OR, we can simply introduce a pattern interrupt that’s more of a positive interrupt that moves us closer towards the fulfillment of our dreams. We all know you are your deepest driving desire, and as is your desire so is your will, and as is your will, so is your deed, and as is your deed so is your destiny. So you really can have a desire and turn it into a trajectory in your life.

What do you want? Where do you want to go? What do you want to be? What do you want more of in your life? What do you want less of in your life? We can take that first step right now. Bean by bean, the bag gets filled. Change happens incrementally. It rarely rarely happens spontaneously and all at once. You throw a seed out there into the ground, and maybe it sprouts, but it definitely can’t sprout if you don’t throw it out into the ground.

Your life can move in so many different directions and whether you believe its spontaneous or random or calculated, or divine intelligence or your personal freedom…but if you want some more of something in your life – rather than saying I want that thing in my life – you have to lean a little bit. Just lean. You don’t have to leap with both feet in, but you have to lean. And if you just lean, maybe it starts with a text or a smile or taking a step…

So, today is all about leaning. Lean in the direction of your dreams. Lean in the direction of what you want to unfold. So right now…plant an intention…something you’d like to see unfold.

TTsquareThere is an ancient mantra … Sankalpa. In Sanskrit this means subtle intention. And if we can just have a subtle intention that’s always running in the background, it will move us in the direction of the fulfillment of our dreams. Remember… You are your deepest driving desire. And we transform the world by transforming ourselves. So our metta moment today is to take that intention that you ever so subtly planted inside you and move it into the manifest. Tell as many people about your intention as possible. Have as many conversations where you discuss that intention in some way. If it’s a very very private intention, then figure out a way to get it, maybe talk about thematically what you want to achieve. Put it in text. Emails. Conversations. Write it down on paper. Leave those papers lying around. Put it on a post-it note. Put it on your refrigerator, your bathroom mirror, your night stand. Put it on your laptop screen. Put it on your keyboard. Write it, let’s move it from the smallest ethereal subtle intention and let’s make as many imprints on the local, on the manifest, and let’s see how our life unfolds. Let’s turn this into a daily ritual and in the meantime, I’ll see you in the gap!
Peace. -davidji

live-in-the-present
“Forever is composed of nows.”
― Emily Dickinson

Right before you read these words, you were thinking about something. Perhaps you were replaying a scene from the past; or maybe you were projecting some outcome into the future. Only the moment where you clicked the link to open this page were you actually in the moment – and even that may have been a conditioned click while your mind swirled around other issues of your life.Inner Healer skyscraper

We live our lives in the past and the future – rarely spending time to be mindful of what is happening in this very moment. That’s not a good thing or a bad thing – it just is how our brain works and how we respond to our senses feeding us experience…and we have conditioned ourselves to fill any gaps in that flow of activity with more activity.

Think about your day-to-day: How long does it take when you arrive home to talk, text, pick up a remote control, put on music, or the TV, or log on? When you get into your car alone, how long does it take until you put on music, call someone, text someone? We are creatures of habit and we habitually fill our stillness and silence with movement, sound, and activity.

Yet at our core, we ARE stillness and silence – pure unbounded, unconditioned consciousness. There are many kinds of activity but only one stillness and one silence. Every time we meditate we connect to that space…that nothingness…that NO THING ness. And when we return to our waking state after meditation, we bring back a thimbleful of stillness, a tweezerful of silence, an eyedropper full of your unconditioned self and over time…that becomes you.

So how do we get there? And how deep do we need to go to get to the Truth? How high do we need to soar to connect to our very essence?

We are already there…but the mist of daily illusion swirling about us often obscures the Light that is inside. But through BEing present, we can give our self permission to settle down just a bit so we can truly experience quietude and NO thing ness – we can actually experience pure, unbounded consciousness. When we settle down even more deeply, we can hear the whispers of the divine and tap into source at the most innocent level. And then we can take our next step into the realm of pure potentiality where our next thought, our next word, our next deed…is magnificent, unconditioned, and pregnant with possibilities.

An easy way of connecting to that in any moment is through our breath. Try it now. Take a deep breath in…and now exhale. Most likely that feels pretty good. Now let’s do it again and let’s witness the entire process. You breathe in – a full inhale. Then you breathe out – a full exhale. But now you are aware that there is a space between the in and the out. A sliver of nothingness that is neither a breath in or a breath out. That space between the inhale and exhale is pure present moment…no activity…no past or future. Let’s try it again.

The present moment is always within you – always resting at the core of who you are. And you can access it at any moment wherever you are…whatever you are doing. Just like the space between your thoughts is who you really are, the space between your breaths is another facet of the pure, unbounded consciousness that rests within you.

Try this beautiful re-connection technique as you go about your day and you will notice that your life unfolds with greater grace and greater ease. Whatever you are going through, remember to keep breathing. Love. davidji

chakras-1
Hello Spiritual Warrior!!! If you have been following my blog for the past few years, or have ever experienced me LIVE, you know I am a big fan and believer of chakra wisdom tools.

Chakra comes from Sanskrit and translates to energy “center”, “wheel”, or “turning”. It has been a part of the Vedic wisdom traditions for thousands of years. Ancient seers put the pieces together long ago – putting forth devoted studies into the many threads of frequencies that connect our emotional, intellectual, and spiritual energies and the effects that these energies have to our overall health and constitutional wellbeing.

Every thing in this sweet existence of ours is energy – every word, thought, sound, view, physical sensation… our responses to the world around us, our actions and our interactions. Every text, bark, email, churchbell, whisper, gaze, breath, car engine, rainbow, All the ripples of nature -from the warmth of the sun, the blowing of the breeze, the waves in the ocean, the changing of the leaves, the light from the stars in the night sky… and it goes on and on. Everything is energy.

We have seven main energy centers known as chakras that run in a straight line along our spine – starting at the base and up to the crown of our head. They can be thought of as the junction points of mind and matter. When activated, these brilliant energy vortexes swirl and form magnificent spiral bundles that contribute to the achievement of higher states of consciousness.

When our chakras are open and vibrant we are abundantly rich in the vital life force, known in Sanskrit as “Prana”. We feel grounded, inspired, energized, loving, kind, grateful, intuitive, and connected to source. When energy becomes stagnant in one or more of these vortex wheels, we are prone to experience emotional congestion fueled by fear, limiting beliefs, and lack of self-love – thus opening ourselves to emotional, instinctual, and spiritual blocks of pain. Take the chakra test below!

The ancient wisdom traditions teach that for every emotional response there is a correlating physical response. David Simon MD was known to say that 90% of our physical toxicity is emotionally derived. Energized and alive chakras promote healthy cellular growth. We experience “free flowing” energy and information that moves in alignment within the natural rhythms of our bodies and, the rhythms of nature. When these energy centers are blocked, our internal rhythms literally “shut down” – moving into protective mode. Over a prolonged, unattended period of time, this can carry the same effect as toxic emotional suppression – resulting in physical illnesses like lower back pain, chronic fatigue, and digestive challenges.

When we are making healthier, more conscious choices, we exist in a state of grounded, energy awareness. Perhaps, you have heard me express the saying, where attention goes, energy flows. It’s true…try it and observe the results. By eating cleaner, tapping into our elevated emotional intelligence, applying daily balancing and emotional releasing techniques, and opening ourselves to stillness through a daily meditation practice, we feel, witness and LIVE a life full of vitality, healthy discernment, positive progression and purpose-driven fulfillment.

Tapping into the chakra energies is another wisdom tool for us to gauge where we are currently falling on the wellbeing scale. Since our chakras are expressions of various levels of our consciousness and represent specific areas within our instinctual, mental and spiritual realms – feeling more connected to our individual energies – whether open or blocked – brings us closer to the fulfillment of our needs, dreams, and a stronger sense Self. Through the self-identification of stagnancies and frequencies, positive attributes begin to shine through and negative characteristics begin to diminish.

Some examples of chakra enlivening techniques:
chakra tuning using the correlating wheel sounds (listed below)
chakra chanting
guided chakra meditations (coming to your inbox this Friday!)
color therapy
aromatherapy
sound healing or music
physical movement, and
daily chakra affirmations.

I’m working on a new chakra project right now and I’d like to share some info regarding the first chakra known in Sanskrit as the Muladhara (pronounced moolah-darah).

The First chakra – Muladhara
Meaning: root, foundation or support
Location: tip of your tailbone
Color: red
Impact: family, community, work team
Characteristics: groundedness, stability, security,
Vibration: LAAM (as in llama)
Emotion: fear (false evidence appearing real)
Affirmation: We are connected

When this chakra is open, we are strongly rooted in our work, home, & intimate relationships; connected to our loved ones; grounded; centered; empowered; and feeling safe. When this chakra is closed, we are disconnected, reclusive, unstable, and fear-based. I’ll share more chakra info this week on Hay House Radio!

“There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen.” -Rumi

Hello Spiritual Warriors!!! And welcome to another week of life tools! This week we drift our attention to awareness. There are so many levels of awareness – awareness of our breath, our thoughts, our words, our actions…awareness of the world outside of us…awareness of others in our life…and their words and actions.

The key to awareness is connecting to the stillness and silence that rests within. And the easiest way to proactively create this connection is by meditating. If we can quiet our heart rate, slow our breath, and relax our minds…we gently enter a state of restful awareness.

In this state of expanded awareness, we become more sensitive to the world around us. We tap into the subtleties and nuances of sound, light, and physical sensation. It’s as if you had been wearing dark sunglasses and then you took them off and the world of Technicolor presented itself.

The core practice of daily meditation shifts your physiology and changes the physical structure of your brain so we become naturally more sensitive to the world around us. But, we can also achieve in-the-moment awareness through in-the-moment stress busters such as 16 seconds to clarity because it brings us into the present moment. And when we open our eyes, we are calmer, more relaxed, more open to receive, and our physiology is a bit quieter.

Let’s try it right now. It’s okay to keep reading as you go through this exercise with me.

Now, take a long slow deep breath in through your nostrils and as you do…slowly count to four. Observe the air as it moves into your nostrils, to the back of your throat, moves down your chest, and deep into your belly. Feel your belly expand. Once your belly is filled, hold that breath in to the count of four. And just witness the breath in your belly as you silently count. 1, 2, 3, 4. Now, slowly –to the count of four- exhale through your nostrils and again watch your breath as it moves up into your chest, into your throat, into your sinuses and out through your nostrils. And, when the last wisp of air is out of you, hold that breath out to the count of four. And, observe it, watch it, witness it…as it dissipates into the air.

Now breathe normally and let’s try it with your eyes closed. Remember: in four – hold four – out four – hold four – and make sure you follow your breath…observing it along the way. (I’ll wait right here…it’s only 16 seconds).

Pretty amazing, right? In this moment, you are calmer, more relaxed, more sensitive to the world around you, & more aware. Perhaps something has just come into your awareness that wasn’t there before. This is the power of 16 seconds. Throughout the day, see how many times you can practice this easy stress-buster and email me with your awareness experience. We’ll go deeper this week on Hay House Radio. Keep meditating, and I’ll see you in the gap! Peace. -davidji
